Syllabus of Computer Based Test (CBT)
The syllabus for the SSC Constable GD Examination is as follows:
A) General Intelligence and Reasoning:
This section tests analytical aptitude and the ability to observe patterns through non-verbal questions. Topics include:
- Analogies, similarities, and differences
- Spatial visualization and orientation
- Visual memory and discrimination
- Relationship concepts
- Arithmetic reasoning, number series, coding/decoding, etc.
B) General Knowledge and General Awareness:
Focuses on the candidate’s general awareness of the environment, current events, and basic knowledge of India and neighboring countries. Topics include:
- Sports, History, Culture, Geography
- Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution
- Scientific research and everyday observations
C) Elementary Mathematics:
Tests mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. Topics include:
- Number Systems, Decimals, Fractions
- Percentages, Ratios, Proportions

D) English/Hindi:
Assesses the candidate’s ability to understand basic English/Hindi and comprehension.
