- Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or equivalent professional degree with at least First Class and consistent academic performance.
- Must qualify in UGC-approved National Level Test or equivalent.
Other Criteria Criteria for AESRB Recruitment
- Resident-ship: Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam with Indian Citizenship as per Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution.

- Lecturer (Technical & Non-Tech): 21 to 38 years
- Senior Instructor: 21 to 40 years
- Librarian: 21 to 38 years
